# Jones polynomial The Jones polynomial defines topological invariants of knots. The Jones polynomial is closely related to a [[0601 Weiss-Zumino-Witten models|WZW]] model with group $\mathrm{SU}(2)$ and the corresponding [[0089 Chern-Simons theory|Chern-Simons theory]].
