# Singularity signatures from boundary correlators In AdS/CFT at finite temperatures, there are certain features of the thermal correlators that are found to be (rather mysteriously) related to bulk features regarding the singularity. This is interesting because only the bulk exterior is needed to define the holographic correlators (the retarded Green's function). Nevertheless, the power of analytic continuation makes the singularity significant. ## Refs - main refs - [[2003#Fidkowski, Hubeny, Kleban, Shenker]] - [[2005#Festuccia, Liu]] - [[2008#Festuccia, Liu]] - large $\Delta$ or large $\operatorname{Im}\omega$ - [[2003#Fidkowski, Hubeny, Kleban, Shenker]] - [[2005#Festuccia, Liu]] - [[2008#Amado, Hoyos-Badajoz]]: null geodesics bouncing off the singularity - small $\Delta$ and large $\operatorname{Re}\omega$ - [[2025#Afkhami-Jeddi, Caron-Huot, Chakravarty, Maloney]]: relating the correlator to the transmission and reflection at the singularity (where WKB fails) - smoothing the singularity - [[2025#Dodelson, Iossa, Karlsson]]: finite-temperature SYK - from OPE - [[2024#Ceplak, Liu, Parnachev, Valach]] - [[2025#Ceplak, Liu, Parnachev, Valach]]: beyond inner horizon of charged BH
